THURSDAY’S WEATHER. - From Observations Taken at 9 a.ii. The barometric readings were nearly tfle same as on the previous morning, dm extreme range being from 29; 91, at Hokiauga Heads, to 29.60 at Invercargill; while the temperature ranged from 74deg in, the north to 62deg in the south. Rain was again falling at various places in the North Island, but at most stations in the South Island the weather was fine, the winds being-light and variable. A moderate gale, was being experienced at Thames. The sea ranged from moderate to smooth.
