United Press Association—By Electric. Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, Nov. 13. In connection with the wreckage in Foveaux Straits, the German built steel ship Philadelphia left Newcastle for Callao on August 27 with 2700 tons of coal shipped by Messrs J. and A. Brown. [Per Press Association.! WELLINGTON, Nov. 12. About six weeks ago some wreckage, one piece of which bears the word “Philadelphia ” in zinc letters, was washed ashore at Orepuki, Foveaux Straits. The Marine Department has now been informed that three large spars have been found in a bay on Stewart’s Island. The wreckage found at both places leads to the belief that some disaster ■' has befallen an American built vessel.
