CARD MATCHES.

In last week’s matches of the Rangiora cribbage tournament, Rangiora Fixe Brigade beat Volunteers by twenty-five games, to. twenty-three; Oddfellows beat Druids by thirty-one to twenty-eight; Sons of Temperance beat Southbrook Fire Brigade by twenty-six to nineteen. There is one more set of matches to be played to decide the tournament, but the Rangiora Fire Brigade cannot be displaced from first position. At the present stage three teams are equal for second place. A return cribbage match was played on Friday evening between the Avon and Union Rowing Clubs, at the boathouse of the latter. The Union Club won the match by two games. Refreshments were handed round, and songs and recitations were given by members of each club.
