This afternoon, Messrs Nelson Bros., Limited, received the following cablegram from the Colonial .Consignment and Distributing Company, London: —“ Frozen meat market.—To-day’s quotations are: Best Canterbury mutton 3|d, Dunedin and Southland Napier and North Island 2gd; lamb, first quality 41,c1, second 4]cl. “ SHIPPING. WELLINGTON, August 11. ■ The Delphic arrived in London on Wednesday afternoon, after a forty-six days’ passage, with her meat cargo in good condition. The Rangatira left Capetown on Tuesday, for Port Chalmers and Lyttelton. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, has received cable advice as follows : LONDON, August 10. Frozen Meat —Mutton market steady, Canterbury mutton is worth 3£d, Southland 3]-d and Wellington 2|d per lb. Lamb market firm. Canterbury lamb is worth 4|d per lb. New Zealand Hemp—Quotations nominal. Market unchanged.
