ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
(Per Press Association.! AUCKLAND, April 19. The body of a man was found in the harbour to-day, and was identified by Constable Hendry as that of George M’Connell, formerly headmaster in one of the public schools at New Plymouth. His family is said to be in Wellington, He was wellconnected in Ireland. He had been knocking about town, living precariously, and bad been gani-digging for a time. THAMES, April 19. At the inquest on the body of William Bennett, who died suddenly in court yesterday afternoon, the jury returned a verdict of death from syncope. Dr Callen stated that the post mortem examination revealed the fact that heart disease had existed for many years.' A man named J. Brown, while working in his shop at Addington with a plane, cut off tho tips of-three of his fingers. He was taken to the hospital and his wounds dressed.
