For the first competition three prizes will be offered. It is essential that the photographs aent in should ho 1 suitable for reproduction in the paper; otherwise, they will be considered ineligible for competition. Pictures which have previously appeared m other •journals arc prohibited. Photographs may be printed on any paper by any process, and may bo of any size, provided they be not smaller than iqu»rler-pJate. They must be mounted on plain ' card mounts. Competent judges have been , secured, who are instructed to consider :—First, Autistic Excellkkoe ; second, Technical Excel- ' lehck ; third, Suita-bility for Reproduction. FRIZES.
