Mails close for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations : Friday, April 15. For Dunedin and Invercargill, per Waikare, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.xn.; guard’s p.m. train. For Port Robinson, Cheviot and Kaikoura, per Wakatu, at 6.25 p.m.; late fee letters, 6.40 p.m.; guard’s van, 7.45 p.m. train. Saturday, April 16. For Australian Colonies (via Bluff), South Africa (per Narrung, leaving Melbourne April 27), Coylou, India, China, &0., also United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, for correspondence specially addressed via Suez, per express, to connect with Waikare, at 10.30 a.m.; late fee letters, 10.40 a.m.; mail van, IX a.m. train. Due Melbourne April 25; London May 29. For Northern Ports, per Te Anau, at 4.20 p.m.; late fee letters, 4.35 p.m.; guard’s van, 5.30 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, Westport (via Wellington) and Fiji (via Auckland) per Rotomahana, at 7.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 8 p.m.; guard’s van, 9.10 p.m. train.
Mails for South Africa leave Melbourne on April 27 and May 5. Mials via San Francisco, per Mariposa, close at Auckland on April 16 at 4 p.m. R. Kirton, Chief Postmaster.
