The following report of the Mount Lyell Mining and Railway Company for the week ending March 14 has been received from Dunedin per our own correspondent : Smelting plant No. 1— Five furnaces in operation; prolongation of main brick flue for No. 6 furnace completed; preparing for, erection ,of addition to building parts of No. 6 furnace, cn route to works; smeltting plant No. 2—Excavation for building, &c., proceeding; base of hill flue located; excavation for tunnel under siding in progress ; erection of steam winch and mortar mill nearing completion; excavation for main chimney in hand; bricklaying begun on main retaining wall; new labatory—Plastering nearing completion; hot plate stoves and crucible furnaces finished: floores in store, sample and main assay rooms completed; converter plant Storage platfor in hand; 5594 tons of blister copper have been consigned to date, being 2329 tons for the current half year,
