HONG KONG, March 28.
The Eussian flag has been hoisted at Port Arthur and Talienwan, and the Chinese forces have withdrawn from these positions. H.M.S. Barfleur, which recently joined the China squadron, is proceeding to Nagasaki, Japan. ST PETERSBURG-, March 28. The Eussian Volunteer fleet, which lately left the Baltic for Vladivostock, is returning to Eussia. March 29. The Eussian plans for the immediate equipment of Port Arthur are ready. PARIS, March 28. M. Hanotaux states that the chief demands made from China on behalf of Prance are with the view of ensuring the security of the Indo-Chinese territory. The first results of the demands, M. Hanotaux adds, give a good augury of success. Beceived March 30,12.40 a.m. LONDON, March 29. The Standard's Berlin correspondent states that it is expected that England will occupy Chusan until a definite understanding has been ar-rived-at with China.
