DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB. [Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, March 24. The Dunedin Jockey Club again enjoyed lovely weather for its Jubilee Meeting, and though the attendance to-day was not so large as on the first day, it was really satisfactory, and it included his Excellency the Governor. The sum of =£7295, which was passed through the totalisator, compares favourably with the amount of £6079 operated upon on the second day of the autumn meeting last year. The following are details of the racing:— SECOND HANDICAP HUEDLE RACE, of SO aovs. One mile and a halt. 105 Mr O. R. Wise’s b g Ilex, by Lo Loup, aged, 12st 121 b (G. Robertson) 1 134 Mr George’s b g Stanley, aged, 9st 2 129 Nicholas, 262 Belmont 10st lib, 136 LoboSst 91b and 110 Ned Kelly 9st 81b also started. _ _ Jack the Plat fell at the preliminary fence,. and injured himself to such an extent that the stewards permitted him to be withdrawn and the money invested upon him to be returned. Ned Kelly and Belmont were first to move, and Ned Kelly led past the stand, followed by Lobo and Belmont, but as .the horses swept out of the straight Lobo took command, followed by Stanley, Belmont and Ned Kelly, while Ilexwas lying some dozens of lengths away. When fairly in the straight Ilex set sail after the leaders, but Lobo easily maintained his jiosition, and won comfortably. Time—3min OSsec. Dividends—.£s 11s and £5 4s.
