For the first competition three prizes will be offered. It is essential that the photographs sent in should bo' suitable for reproduction in the paper; otherwise, they will he considered ineligible for competition. ‘ Pictures which have previously appeared in other journals are piohibited. Photographs may ba printed on any paper by any process, and may bo of any size, provided they be not smaller than quarter-plate. They must bo mounted on plain card mounts. Competent judges have been secured, who are instructed to consider : —First, Artistic Excellence ; second, Technical Excel, lence ; third, Suitability for Reproduction. PRIZES.
