THE ENGINEERS’ LOCK-OUT.

TO THE EDITOR.

Sir, —Seeing the urgent need for funds to support the engineers, I would suggest to the Trades and Labour Council, or the Engineers’ Society here, to endeavour to get the collectors for the various Unions to make up lists of those unionists who would contribute something weekly to their brother unionists at Home. ■ Steady and continuous contributions are what is wanted, and if only a couple of hundred men here would subscribe threepence each per week it Would help; and if this plan were pursued in our large and small towns, I feel sure a very respectable sum would be subscribed weekly.—l am, Ac.,

C.B.K,
