Mails close for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations Wednesday, Sept. 8. For Grey mouth and West Coast, per Eosamond, at 10 a.m.; late fee letters, 10.15 a.m.; guard’s van, 10.55 a.m. train. For Dunedin and Invercargill, per Mararoa, at 11.10 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.20 a.m.; guard’s van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Westport, per Ohau, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters 3.15 p.m.; guard’s van 4 p.m. train. For Dunedin and Invercargill, per Te Anau, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. For Northern Ports, per Waihora, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. For Auckland, per Eotokino, at 4.20 p.m.; late fee letters, 4.35 p.m.; guard’s van, 5.30 p.m. train. Thursday, Sept. 9. For Westport, per Poherua, at 11.10 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.20 a.m.; guard’s van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and Westport, also Australian Colonies (via Auckland), to connect with Waihora, per Eotorua, at 7;45 p.m.; late fee letters, 8 p.m.; guard’s van, 9.15 p.m. train. Saturday, Sept. 11. For Australian colonies (visL Bluff), Ceylon, India, China, &c.; also United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, via Suez, per express to connect with Waibare, at 10.30 a.m.; late fee letters, 10.45 a.m.; guard’s van, 11 a.m. train. Due London Oct. 26. t Mails for Fiji, per Flora, close at Auckland on Sept. 8, at 4 p.m. Mails for Noumea, Fiji and New Hebrides leave Sydney on Sept. 9. Mails for Norfolk Island close at Sydney on Sept. 9. Mails for South Africa leave Melbourne on Sept. 15. Mails for Cromarty, Puysegur Point and Te Oneroa, close at Invercargill on Sept, j 16, at 2 p.m. E. Kibton, Chief Postmaster.
