At the meeting of the committee of the Manawatu Agricultural and Association to-day the points for ihe show ■ were agreed to as follows first prize, three for second prize and one for third prize ; three points extra , for championships. 1 At the Manawatu apd-West Coast cultural and 'Pastoral,Association meeting to-day, it was decided to hold a ram and awe show, giving substantial prizes, about the first week in February, immediately preceding the usual ram fair. It i* be» lieved that this venture on the part of the Association will prove a great attraction to ill breeders by centralising the sale of stud sheep. Judges were appointed, principally from the South Island. A committee was appointed to consider the establishment of the beet sugar industry in this district. It was announced that entries had already been promised from all parts of the colony for the forthcoming show, which promises to be one of the most successful yet held. DUNEDIN, Sbj?t. & The Agricultural and Pastoral Socidy’s Committee has decided to have single judging at the Summer Show in all classes, excepting draught horses, town and carriers’ horses, and carriage horses and hackneys. Proposals to have all the judging by points and to exclude dairy produce, reserving it for the Winter Show, are to be considered at the next meeting.
