July_3o ■ In the Assembly, the , Federation Bill was read a second time, 'after five "days’ debate. BRISBANE, July. 30. In the Assembly, Mr Leahy moved in favour of Queensland’s representation at the Federal Convention. The ActingPremier said that it was due to the other colonies that Parliament should express a definite opinion with regard to federation. He assured the House that the Government would take no further action as to sending delegates until the Convention stated whether’ it was prepared to adjourn in order to allow Queensland to be present.
