TO THE EEITOE. Sib, —No doubt not a few cf your readers were amused at the comments on the. Maoris during their voyage Home, given in last Monday’s issue. Your correspondent innocently' relates how some fellow-voyagers extracted fun out of them. This would* be just into their hands, for they are up to this humour as much as anyone else. I would imagine that those who fancied that they were having a high time with the Maoris know hut very little of their nature, and by their being interested with them, the humour was on the
others’ part. Your correspondent must not ran • away with the idea that because they are Natives they are not cunning’ enough to have some fun at his expense.— I am, &c., "KIWI.
