The two final matches for the City Rifles’, champion belt and aggregate prizes were/ fired at Bromley range on Saturday. Theweather was perfect for rifle shooting, but owing to the nature of the colonial ammu-; nition used the scores were much below the average. Subjoined are the scores and ranges:— ' First Match. Sergeant Trebilcock, 300yds 29, 500yds 25, 600yds 24—total 78; Sergeant Parker, 17, 31, 16—64; Sergeant. Jackson, 17, 13, 15—45; Corporal Dodd, 24, 18, 21—63. Second. Match, Sergeant Trebiloock,: 300yds 22, 500yds 28, 600yds 27—total 77.; ; Sergeant Jackson, 23, 24,16 —63; Sergeant, Parker, 20, 24,11 —55; Corporal Todd, 24/ 20,10—54. Champion belt and aggregate prizes.—, Sergeant Trebilcock, first, 617 points;' Sergeant Parker, second, 576 points; Sergeant Jackson, third, 561 points. A match was fired at Kaiapoi on Satur-’ day between the Kaiapoi Rifles and the Working Men’s Club; ten men a side, seven : shots each at 200 and 500yds. ‘ The Rifles’ won by 41 points.
