SOUTH RAKAIA SPORTS.
On Boxing Day tho annual sports and races were held in tho Domain. The officers worked well to ensure tho success of the meeting. The Burnham Baud, in charge of Mr Craze, added to the enjoyment of the day. The dance in the evening, in the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company’s grain-shed, was well attended. The attendance at tho sports was a record one, some 242 10s being taken at tho gates. Results: — HORSE RACES. Maiden Flat Race 'Windermere 1, Fullerton 2, Bankrupt 9.
