PUBLIC GARDENS

TO THE EDITOR.

Sir, —In your issues of August 22 and 29 have been published letters signed repectively “ Waiting for Reform ” and “ James White,” both relating to the Public Gardens. That of August 29, signed James White, is expressed in a manner which has induced the Board to seek an explanation from the writer in order to elicit from him some more special statement of what he therein insinuates. Will you therefore kindly enable the Board to communicate with James White by furnishing his address, or induce him by your influence to furnish the Board with such information as will enable them to understand to what his letter refers. —I am, Ac., S. D. BARKER,

Secretary Christchurch Domain Board. [Wo shall be glad if' our correspondent will communicate with the Secretary of the Board.— Ed. L.T.]
