THE CONSTANTINOPLE RIOTS.
A SANGUINARY CONFLICT,
SLAUGHTER OF DEFENCELESS ■ ARMENIANS. [Per Prf.ss Association.] CONSTANTINOPLE, August 30. There was a sanguinary conflict in Pera on Saturday. The soldiers helped the mob to shoot unarmed Armenians. The British residents are sheltering the refugees. The rioters who seized the Otto*man Bank, accompanied by a number of foreigners, have sailed for Marseilles.

The disorder shows signs of abating, and the Sultan has ordered the disarming of the Mussulmans,
The Powers have intimated that the state of anarchy at present reigning must cease.
The Armenian Committee threaten further disorder until their grievances are redressed.
British sailors are guarding the British Embassy, and thrashed the mob who wore rushing the streets and murdering Armenians. The Sultan has complained of the conduct of the British seamen.
