Allan Scott, of Paterangi, was found hanged to a tree on his farm. An inquest will be held.

The annual meeting’ of the Auckland Cooperative Boot and Shoe Company, Limited, was held to-day. The report stated that last year there was a credit balance brought forward, the accumulation of past years, of .£7ll 15s, part of which was paid away in dividend on capital invested, and a bonus of per share, amounting altogether to .£OSO. After allowing for depreciation of plant and stock, bad and doubtful debts, there was a balance of .£lO4. A dividend of 7 per cent was paid on capital, and 1 per cent on "wages. The balance carried forward was .£7B.
