Bad crop reports from Russia and America are hardening the Avheat market. The Manitoba harvest is estimated at 18,000,000 bushels. Ncav South Wales 3 per cents, 1031. OTTAWA, August 29. An English syndicate offers to develop the meat trade between Canada and England on condition that a subsidy of 125,000 dollars is granted for ten years. The Premier is considering the question. SHIPPING. LONDON, August 28. Sailed—-Rangatira., for Dunedin. Soukar, for Wellington. The Rangitikoi sailed yesterday, loaded for Port Chalmers and the Bluff. MONTE VIDEO, August 28. The Rimutaka left yesterday, all well.
