. [Pee, Peeks Association.! AUCKLAND, Jult 12. An open verdict was returned in the case of the infant found dead in an allotment near Hobson Street. The cause of death is unknown. The barque Grasmere, which left Ksl» para on June 28 for Sydney, put into Whangaroa yesterday short of provisions. She was unable to gat away from the New* Zealand coast owing to strong westerly winds, and, provisions running low, she put into Whangaroa. After receiving supplies she sailed again to-day for Sydney.
