WELLINGTON ITEMS.
[Pub Press Association.! WELLINGTON, July 11. At Hawera John Farrell, on seven charges of fraudulent pretence and other offences under the Bankruptcy Act, has been sentenced to three months’ imprisonment on each conviction. A Maori at Petone, named Aorirua Te Puni, while suffering from drink sawed an ugly wound in his throat with a blunt table-knife. It is doubtful whether he will recover.
