An error-was made in a paragraph in yesterday’s issue stating that Captain Wheeler brought the steamer Maori down the coast from Wanganui. Captain Wheeler was on board as coastal pilot between Picton and Wanganui, and came down to Lyttelton, as he was unable to get ashore at Wanganui owing to the gale; but the chief officer, Mr G.
