CHRISTCHURCH. Monday, March 4. (Before Messrs J. P. Richardson, W. Prudhoa and J. Penteney, J.P.’s.) Dexjnkenness.—Two firct offenders were fined 5e each, in default twenty-four hours’ imprisonment. Daniel Crawford waa fined 10s, in default forty-eight hours’ imprisonment. (Before Mr E, Beetham, S.M.) Maintenance. Thomas Mila was charged with neglecting to provide hia three children with adequate means of support. He was ordered to pay 5s a week towards the support of each child. Civil Cases. —J. M’Gowan v, C. Jeffreys, claim £3 4s 2d. Judgment was given for plaintiff by default with costs ss.—Annie Leafs v. Arthur Selby, claim £5 14s 3d. Judgment summons. Mr M’Connel for judgment creditor. The debtor and hia wife were examined at length by Mr M’Connel, and the case was adjourned till April 29 to enable the debtor to make some arrangement to pay the debt.
