[Psb Pbess Association.! WELLINGTON, Nov. 22. In the Supremo Court the Chief Justice granted an application that Mangin, Wright and Miners, three youths charged with rape, should be tried separately, and the first case will probably be taken on Monday. James Breen was indicted on the charge of forging a cheque. After the accused had given evidence, the Crown Prosecutor applied for leave to call rebutting evidence, and the case was adjourned until next day, the jury being liberated. George Combe, alias Simson, alias M’Guire, forgery, was sentenced to two imprisootUQnt, t(> begin at too expiration of the sentence he is now serving for a similar offence in Christchurch. Henry Apirhama, convicted of larceny at Wainui, was remanded for sentence.
