SYDENHAM COUNCIL.

TO THE EDITOR. Sib,— Seeing that we Sydenham ratepayers are on the eve of an election for two councillors, one for Addington and one for Newtown, I hope that the ratepayers will not be slow in putting in the tight men. We have had a very bitter experience already as to what has taken place in the Borough Council by the prohibition members. Let us get Sydenham put into a state where people will be able to live without so much tyranny aa we have had to contend with in the past by too much party feeling being brought into the Council. We want men to go in and work for the best interests of the ratepayers, and not waste time in fads in these times of modern warfare.—l am, &c., PROGRESS.
