Mr De Lopez’s American imported stallion, Pleasanter, was also trotted out. w ; . NAPIER, Sept. 29. At .Hastings this morning Nixie, and North Atlantic .were seat about one mile, the: Guineas filly finishing in front. EoaefeJdt . and Marino did half pace .work. Dreamland baat Purspo once round, and Scot Free and Golden Fleece did a similar distance,: tho filly having the beat of .the gallop, being in great condition. St Hilda and FormA traversed five and a half furboth finishing strongly. Pom Pom and Westmere did a circuit once. Westmere having'the best of it. Blarney easily beat Ztsaella once round. . Doris, Leontine, Kapua, Mqnte Carlo, Cyrus and the two-year-olds were also treated to service-, able work.
Golden Fleece is nominally favourite far the Guineas, and cither this filly or Pam Pom may supply the winner. Other fancies are Westmare for the . October Handicap, Eoicius for .the Hurdles, Sylvanus : for the Corinthian Stakes and St Kilda for the Plying Handicap.
