WORK AND WAGES.
[Special to Press Association.] SYDNEY, March 21. The employees in the Junction mine at Broken Hill have agreed to & 10 per cent reduction of wages. MELBOUENE, March 21. The acting-president of the Employers* Union anticipates that stress of circumstances will necessitate some time or other a reduction in the rate of wages. He declared that the rule* of the Employers’ Union required revising in order to provide assistance to employers in the event of a struggle between labour and capital. Another subject, he said, which was calling for attention was federation versus union of the colonies.
