The barque Comadre arrived in the stream yesterday morning, fsom Otago Heads, in ballast. She comes under charter to Messrs Stead and Cunningham, to load grain for the United Kingdom. The fine steamer Gothic was thrown open to the public yesterday, and notwith-. standing the unfavourable nature of the weather, was visited by a large number of sightseers, all of whom appeared well pleased with what they saw on board, Messrs Cook Brothers’ schooner Lily left Timatu on Friday, for Wanganui, with a cargo of produce, while the ketch Comet on Saturday sailed from the Bluff for Port Robinson, with a cargo of timber ; and the Reliance is now on her way to Thames, from Napier, to load a timber freight for thiajport. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s chartered steamer Duke of Sutherland left on Saturday afternoon for London, with a full cargo of wool, meat, &c.
