SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF TEMPERANCE.
The usual fortnightly meeting of the Excelsior Division, No. 21, was held in the Free Methodist schoolroom on Monday evening, when there was a large attendance <>f members and visitors, the W.P. Bro A. Bleach, presiding. Letters were received from Bro Seed, Grand Scribe, forwarding copies of proceedings of the late Grand Division. Mr T. Cutler, President of the Canterbury Band of Hope Union, requested that two appointed attend a meeting to arrange for the annnafl demonstration on Easter Monday. Bros Bleach and Aynsley were appointed. Bro Bleach gave a report of the late Friendly Societies' meeting regarding the benevolent fund, and of the society for the interchange of medical benefits. The installation of officers was then conducted by Bro J. H. Jones, D.G. Patriarchs assisted by Sister Hean, W.P. of the Elim Division, as follows: W.P., Bro F. Aynsley; 8.W.P., Bro A. Bleach; W.A., Bro T. Hyde; Eecording Scribe, Bro T. Cutler; Assistant Eecording Scribe, Bro G. M’Callum; Treasurer, Bro T. Goodsall; Financial Scribe, Bro Jones; Chaplain, Bro J. Taylor; Conductor, Bro E. Hepburn ; Assistant Conductor, Bro Tates j Inside Sentinel, Bro Lane; Auditors, Bros Taylor • and Bleach; Trustees, Bros Q. Burns, E. Hepburn and P. Parker; Superintendent of ■ Juvenile Division, Bro Bleach; Assistant Superintendent, Bro Harrison. Votes of thanks were accorded to the installing officers and to the visitors, to which Sister Hean, Bros Jones and Hean responded. It was resolved to pay an'official visit to the Elim Division on the nest night of meeting. The Juvenile Branch, No. 21, held a meeting on Monday evening, Bros Bleach and Harrison conducting the business. The following officers were installed P.W.P., Bro Lockwood; W. P., Bro E. Faville; W.A., BcoH. Taylor; R. Scribe, Stater E. Anthony; A.E. Scribe, Sister H. Doggefct; Treasurer, Bro G. Campbell j F. Scribe, Bro H. Telford; Conductor, Bro S. Wilson; Assistant Conductor, Bro G. Biltcliff; Inside Sentinel, Bra N. Tombs; Outside Sentinel, Bro L. Faville, Several visitors were present from the senior division, and gave the juniors some good advice and instruction, also an invitation to visit the Elim Division.
