His Worship said that they ought to
thank Lady Glasgow for her attendance to present the certificates; He asked them to signify their consent in the usual way. This was met with hearty applause. Lady Glasgow said it gave her great pleasure to ba present there that evening, as she knew of the good work that was being done by the association. Ambulance work ought to do great good in New Zealand, with its scattered population, where medical aid was often hard to obtain. But besides the education for am bulance work, they needed presence of mind and common sense, and she was glad to have seen from reports that the members were not lacking in these qualities. She thanked them for the kind reception they had given her. This terminated the proceedings.
