THE CHRISTCHURCH ELECTION.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,— lnstead of replying to Mr Sandford’s supposition that I comasedjiwo interviews,*! would simply aak him to state which clause of the Liquor Bill he would have been willing to repeal; or, in other words, which “inch ho was willing to yield” until that Bill had “ bad a fair trial?” I have never anywhere that Mr Sandford was the nominee of the liquor ring. The only reason I found for refusing to support him was tho conviction —which his Jotter of Doc. 6 turned into a certainty—that he was more loyal to Mr W. P. Reaves than ha was to a great principle.—l am, &c., FRANK W. ISITT.
