[Pee Peebs Association.! AUCKLAND, Dec. 7. The total rainfall iu Auckland for November was 7T7 inches, the highest yet recorded for that month. The mean temperature of November in Auckland was the highest since 1864. The Election Committee of the Labour candidate, Mr Tadehope, dissolved last might, but resolved to convene a meeting next week to form a permanent Labour political organisation with a view of securing the return of one or more Labour candidates at the next general election. A polo match between a team from H.M.S. Curacoa and the Auckland Polo Club, took place at Potter’s paddock. The visitors won by two goals, WELLINGTON, Dec. 7. The Alameda’s Colonial mails of Nov. 4 arrived in London yesterday afternoon. The Gear Meat Company will declare the usual dividend of 10 par cent. A Mrs Hiecocks, who had been paid .£ll for the adoption of an illegitimate child, now wished its adoption undertaken by the State. Soma curious evidence was given in the case, which was adjourned. At the annual meeting of the Walton Park Coal Company, the Directore* report stated that in the face of keen competition the Company had been able to hold its own. There was a credit balance of .£1441 18b, which the Directors recommended to be carried forward. The meeting resolved to write down the capital by one-half, .£6006, and write off a corresponding sum from the general plant account. A young man named James Low has been committed for trial on a charge of the larceny of JBI6 from Boyd’s station, Middlemarcb.
