HAWKE’S BAY FLOODS.
TO THE EDITOR.
Sib, —I quite fall in with “ Nanciea’a” remarks regarding help for the poor unfortunates at Hawke’s Bay. Canterbury is always to the fora in good works. Why not have a great demonstration similar to that held soma years ago in aid of the Kaitangata sufferers ? And could not the clergy suspend their missionary efforts in China and India lor a time, and help the sufferers at their own doors ? Also, our M.H.R.’s might forego JSS or £Got their honorarium, which would, of it self, coma to a good round sum. I hope that for once we will put our shoulders to the wheel, and eclipse the Queensland relief fund. Hoping that “ Nanciea ” and others will at ones take action.—l am, &c., RADICAL.
