AUCKLAND t. WELLINGTON. , fPuB Pbess Association.} AUCKLAND, Dko. 4 The interprovincial match, Auckland v. Wellington, was resumed this morning. The weather was then fine, but in the afternoon heavy rain fell, and prevented the completion of tho game. Wellington, with 46 to its credit, resumed its first innings, which closed for a total of 89. The Auckland men, who, in the first innings had made 137, were disposed of in the second for 77, leaving Wellington 125 to get to win. Owing to the rain, however, the Wellington men could not go to the wickets, and at five o’clock the game was declared drawn. The following are the scores:— ■Wellington. First Innings. C. " The team to play against Auckland will be selected from the following s—Baker, A. Downes, M’Neil, H. Baddinglon, Fisher, Johnson, Currie, Croxtord, Kinvig, Parker, Hops, Wells, and Lawton. A match, Kimberley v. Weedons, waa played at Kimberley oa Saturday, and resulted in a win for the local team by 25 runs. For Kimberley J.- Bemen was the top scorer with 16 and 4, and for Weedons S. Thompson 6 and 13. These two were the most successful bowlers. J, Bemen (for Kimberley) in the,first innings took three wickets for 3 runs, and in the second five for six runs; S, Thompson (for Weedons) six for 16 rubs and five for 13 runs.
