Mails close for the following places as under, eabjeafi to the necessary alterafeiiona Wednesday, August 9. For the United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, specially addressed "per Orient steamer ” only, and also for Prance, Algeria, Mauritius, &0., specially addressed “ per French packet ” only, and Australian Colonies, per express, to connect with Tarawera at Port Chalmers, at 10.30 a.m.; late fee letters, 10.40 a.m.; guard’s van, on express, 11 a.m. Thursday, August 10. For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America and West Indies (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, &c., and also for Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Takapuna, as follows: Ordinary letters, 8 a.m.; late fee letters, 8.15 a.m.; books and newspapers, 7 a.m,; money orders, 4 p.m., and registered letters, S p.m. on previous day; guard’s van, 9.55 a.m. train. Due London Sept. 13. For Westport, per Diugadee, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m,; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. R. Keeton, Ohief Postmaster.
