LARRIKINISM IN WALTHAM.
TO THE EDITOR. Sib, — A letter ia this morning’s Times, under the above heading; is false. I will explain. The individual mentioned ia in tha habit of crossing the school ground, and the Football Club ia responsible for all damage done to the trees and fences. He has been told three or four times to go round tho road. The night in question he came over the fence and through the ground, and being told to go back, he said he was in a hurry. One of the players simply caught him with the intention of making him go round to the gate, when ho kicked him and was hit back in selfdefence, not by seven or eight, bub by one. As for sitting on him when down, the statement is utterly untrue.—l am, &0., A SPECTATOR. [Two other letters to the same effect as the above have been received.— Ed. L.Tf]
