Dr Redwood,' Ph.D,, F.C*S,, F.1.C., whoso opinion is unimpeachable, says: ."I have never come across another toilet soap which bo closely comes up to my ideal of perfection/' William Douglas, of Lanark, in Scotland, married a wife who was born on the same day and at the same hour as himself. They lived to the age of one hundred years with* out having any eerious illness, and at length died on the same day. The Ideal Woman.—The ideal woman of every man is the womanly woman. The ideal man of every woman is the manly man. The ideal tea of both is the Matchless Brand.—[ADVT,] It is amusing to read in an English newspaper of 1840, pretending to describe the climate and the soil of New Zealand, that “ the climate is too moist for sheep pastures, and the fine wool for which New South Wales is remarkable speedily deteriorates in quality on transportation of the sheep to New Zealand.” Equally funny is itto read in another well-informed English journal that “New Zealand ia destined to become the garden of New South Wales.”
