THE AtTSTBALIAN TEAM. [Special to Press Association.] LONDON. August 3. The match against the Universities was drawn. To-day the Australians are play, ing Essex. Blaokham, G. Gillen, and M'Leod stand out. Tha Colonials went in first, and have lost five wiokots for 171Graham, 35 ; Baanerman, 34 ; Bruce (not out), 33. There was a good attendance at the opening of the cricket match, Australians v. Essex. The weather was fine and the wicket level. The Colonials were all out for 250. Bruce scored 56. and Bannerman played an unusually free innings. The County team has lost two wickets for 72 runs, Taberer being not out with 28, and Owen 36.
