[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, March 16. - The Labour Bureau has arranged to send twenty-five men to Eltham, to work on the road at Eotokure. 1
Recently the Minister for Labour senfcto one of the most important labour unions in Victoria copies of the Labour Acts passed last session. The Secretary of the anion in question replied, thanking the Minister, and stating that the measnrea will be of great service to labour in that: colony in drafting Bills on somewhat similar lines. At the Trades and Labour Council tonight the Apprentices Bill, which had been drafted by a Committee, was submitted, and will be circulated among the members of the Council. Its provisions are not' disclosed. The Council resolved not to agree to the proposal of the Liberal Association for a conference to discuss the question of Labour candidates for the next election. The Hons Jenkinson, Jennings, Bolt and Rigg, M.L.C.’s, are to be asked to. address a public meeting under the auspices of the Trades and Labour Council during the next session of Parliament.
