A DESERTED CAMP.

[Per Press Association.) NELSON, March 16. A deserted prospectors’ camp has been discovered on Starveall, a hill about 4500 feet high, near the border line between Marlborough, and near the head waters of Pelorus. The articles found consist of a 501 b bag of flour, 4ib of tea, boxes full of matches, a camp oven, windlass, rope, three picks, a shovel, two axes, a saw, a tin of preserved milk, a file, two tin dishes, two wooden boxes and several books, all covered with a tent fly tied down with a clothes line. Mr Busch, a sheep-farmer, who made the discovery, says the plant had not been disturbed for a long time, and he thinks the party may have perished on the ranges. This, however, is thought improbable, as the party must have been a large one.
