VETERANS v. PAPANUI. Yesterday a match, was played between the Veterans’ Cricket Club and a team selected from the married members of the Papanui Cricket Club. The game was played on the recreation ground, and resulted in a hollow victory for the Veterans, who, both in the field at the wickets, proved their prowess. United, was continued yesterday evening at Lancaster Park, when the United’s first innings closed for 192 runs, or 163 behind. The follow on will commence at 4 p.m. to-day. A match will be played on Saturday at St Albans between married and single members of the St Albans Olnb.
