THE WOODVILLE CASE.

[Pee Peess Association.] WELLINGTON, Deo. 15, Tho Supreme Court was occupied fco-day with the charge against Syms, chemist, of Woodville. At four o’clock the ossa for the prosecution closed, and Mr Edwards, on behalf of the accused, briefly opened for the defence, contending that there was no case to go to the Jury, and that Syms had only treated Mrs Hall in the usual manner for a complaint from which she suffered. His Honor said that he was not disposed to stop the case going to the Jury. Dr Delisle, of Napier, was examined for the defence, and at 5,30 the Court adjourned till eight o’clock. la the Supreme Court to-aight tho medical evidence on behalf of the accused was concluded. The defendant will be examined to-merrow, and it is expected that the case will be finished about midday.
