[Spicial to Pbiss Association.] TBeceived June 27, at 12.50 a.m.J SYDNEY, Juns 26. Mr Witberford, o£ Auckland, is negotiating to work the Coromandel mine on a larger scale than at present. It is contemplated to have a working capital of £250,000, and an expert will visit the mine to.make an inspection and report before the conclusion of the negotiations. fTBOM OUB OWN CORRESPONDENT.! EEEPTON, June 25. the following is the Stock Exchange reports—The amount of amalgam for the week is 11530 z from the United Alpine and Progress top plates and the cleaning up of the Globe and Keep-it-Dark. There are still one or two returns to coma in, which will • increase the total. Business daring the week has been slack, the principal feature being the improvement in Keep-it-Darks, which were sold up to 9s, but have since eased slightly. The good return from, the Progress has had the effect of hardening shares, and sellers are scarce. A dividend is expected at the end of the month. In other lines there have been buyers of Big Eivers, Globes, Sir Charles Bussells and United Alpines. No news of importance has been received from any of the mines.. The most exciting incident of the week was the meeting of the Big Eiver shareholders which lasted for ten hours, and resulted in the re-election of the former Directors.

There wes extremely heavy local rain last night and this morning, but there was no fresh, and the bar is smooth. The coal export for the week was 1098 lona. DUNEDIN. Junk 26. The Dunedin Gold Dredging Company received 220 z of gold last week.
