MEETING OP TBE ASSOCIATED COKPri.

The annual meeting of the corps associated for the purpose of maintaining one of the ranges" at Bromley was held last eveuing. There was a good attendance, and Lieutenant Cresswell (Christehurcb Kifies) presided. The Secretary, Corporal Colclough (College Bines) read the report of the Bange Committee, which congratulated che corps on the success of. the year's operations. The year had been begun with a credit balance of Is 9d, and closed, after paying all liabilities, with a cash balance of £2 5s 2d, besides assets, to the value of several pounds, in the form of targets, posts and targot house; .£67 2a had been expended on the range. During the saason five competitions between tho members had been held, and prizes won by Major'Skter, Captain Massey, Quartermaster Sergeant Dougall, S6rgeant-Ma/jor Pavitfc, ColourSergeant Steere, Serge&nta Kenwood, Ashtou and Weir, Corporals Scott and Colclough, Lance - Corporal Meddings, Privates Watts, Askew, Joll and Vivian, Gunners Cropp, Lester, Hewlett and Trooper Ferguson. The Committee wished to thank the following for their liberality in giving prizes ;—Major Slater, Captain Massey, Aztken and Koberta, E. Botes and Co., E. G. Warnes, G. Bonningtcn and Co., Shaw, Eobinson and Co., G, L. Beach and Co., J. Gail, J. M. Walker, Private Lake, Stacdisa and Precce, •W. J. Byrvie, Eden George Companv, P. C. Bishop, Lyttelton Times Uompany, Edwards, Bennett and Co. and W. P. Waruer. The Committee was under special obligation to ex-Captain Bishop lor his handsome donation of timber for seats at the firintj points. The Committee also desired to thank the members of the Canterbury Yeomanry Cavahy, Lyttelton Kavals, Garrison .Band, Amateur Oparatic Society, Working Men's Club, Meesra A. Appleby, Brice and L. Cane, for their assistance at the coscerfc in aid of the funds. Tho Committee hoped that members would use every endeavour to make the coming season as successful as the one just closed. In the first place members were requested to holp at the forthcoming concert, for new targets would be required, and the Committee hoped next season to be able to x nucnaE9 prizes instead of having to go to tho already over-tasad business people and beg. The balance-sheet showed Receipts J 269 7s 2d, expenditure £SB Ss M, assets £l2 3s 5d andMiabilities JJ9 18a 3d.

The report and balunce-shest were adopted.Tho Secretary gave a sketch of the programme of the entertainment to be held ill the latter part of July, and to consist, cf niilibfiryjaongi.', representations of camp life, military exercises and other spectacular dicplayis. The Bange Committee-was empowered to make arrangements for the concert. . It was decided that the Committee Bhould elect its Secretary.

A hearty vote of thanks was passed by acclamation to C'orpural Colclough for tho manner in which • he discharged the duties of Secretary and Treasurer during the past year. A vote of thanka was passed to the Prefs of Chribiehurch for assistance rendered to the associated corps. A similar compliment to the Chairman closed the meeting.
