MAGISTERIAL.
CHRISTCHURCH. Saturday, Feb. 13. (Beforsa E. Weetears and E. Dobson, Esqs.) Larceny. —Emily Rebecca Pearson, who had been convicted on a charge of larceny, was brought up for sentence. The Bench said they had considered the question of admitting the girl to probation, and bad decided to do so. She would be sentenced to sis months’ probation. Alleged Embezzlement. —W. Mardon was charged with embezzling the sum of ,£lO Ss from his employer, Eichard Smith, at Christchurch, on Nov. 27, 1890. Mr Joynt appeared for the accused, and said he understood that the police wished for a remaud. Ha asked that his client might be admitted to hail. The Bench remanded the accused till Feb. 18, and fixed hail in accused’s self in £SO, and one surety of £SO.
Drunkenness. —Bridget Lambert, who was charged with drunkenness, was fined ss, and ordered to pay 10s fid medical expenses.
