VICTORIAN POLITICS.
RESIGNATION OP MR MUNEO. [Special to Press Association.] MELBOURNE, Fbb. 10. The political situation is unchanged. Mr Munro’s resignation of the Premiership does not take effect until the negotiations for the disposal of the Colony’s Treasury Bills are completed. Mr Shiele, the Premier-elect, is being counsalled to exclude the one-man-one-vote plank from the platform of the reconstructed Ministry, as likely to cause turmoil at an inopportune time. If Mr Sheila agrees to drop the principle, one of the members of the Ministry in the Legislative Council will retain his seat, but the others will resign with Mr Munro. It is believed that the Government will retain the single vote as one of the items of their policy, but will keep it in the background as much as possible. Contrary to expectation, Mr Munro resigned the Premiership to-day, and Mr Shiels has been sent for.
