[Received Dec. 23, at 1.15 a.m.] A TECHNICAL POINT. SYDNEY, Dec. 22. In the House to-night, Mr Reid, leader of the Opposition, raised a technical point, contending that as tho question of the imposition of duties had been dealt with and negatived early in the session, the resolutions on the Financial Statement were out of order. The Speaker ruled that there was a vast difference between an abstract resolution of ways and means, and therefore the present resolutions were in order. A debate is proceeding on a motion for the reception of the resolutions as passed by the Committee. THEATRICAL. Walter Bentley, the actor, is a passenger by the Talune, for the Bluff.
